GRETTA - Wirehaired Terrier and Dachshund Dog for Adoption in Fosters, Alabama

**GUMBO HERE. THREE SIBLINGS. THREE PERSONALITIES. ONE VERY CONFUSED FAMILY TREE.**

Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce **GRETTA, PENELOPE, and TOBY!**

Three adorable little siblings who apparently attended the same family reunion but came home with completely different hairstyles.

Let's examine the evidence.

**GRETTA** — The scruffy little lady who looks like she owns a cottage in the English countryside, drinks afternoon tea, and has strong opinions about the neighbors.

Look at that face. She's approximately two biscuits away from demanding to speak to the manager.

**PENELOPE** — Our distinguished little lady with the fashionable dark coat and a face that suggests she knows things.

Possibly government secrets.

Possibly where the missing treats are hidden.

Either way, she's not talking without an attorney present.

**TOBY** — The biggest of the three, although at under 20 pounds, I use the word "biggest" rather generously.

Toby apparently inherited the smooth-coat option while his sisters received the deluxe scruffy package.

He looks like a Dachshund who got halfway through growing legs and decided that was plenty.

Now, these three are siblings, and we're calling them **Dachshund/Terrier mixes**.

As for their exact family tree, I suspect someone shook a bag of dog breeds, dumped it on the floor, and said, "That'll do."

Whatever their ancestry, these three are absolutely precious, and each deserves a wonderful forever home!

**Gretta, Penelope, and Toby are available for adoption through No Greater Love Rescue!**

They do NOT have to be adopted together. Each deserves a family to call their own.

Please share their pictures and help us find three wonderful homes for these little treasures.

**Respectfully,**

**GUMBO**

The dachshund is a small dog breed known for its long body, short legs, and distinctive appearance. Originally bred for hunting badgers, these playful and loyal dogs make loving companions for families. Dachshunds come in three coat varieties smooth, wirehaired, and longhaired each with its own unique charm. Despite their size, dachshunds are bold and courageous, with a curious nature that can sometimes lead to mischief. Their endearing personality and adaptability make them popular pets worldwide.

The Wirehaired Terrier is a charming and energetic dog breed known for its shaggy coat and lively personality. Originating from terriers bred for hunting small game, they are intelligent, spirited, and make loyal companions. Their wiry coat requires regular grooming to prevent matting, and they thrive on ample exercise and mental stimulation. With proper training and socialization, Wirehaired Terriers can be excellent family pets, excelling in activities such as agility and obedience.
