TINA TWEETIE LITTLE SWEET PEA

West Highland White Terrier Westie, Chihuahua
🇺🇸

DESCRIPTION

Tina Tweetie is the kind of dog who reminds you just how much tenderness can live inside one little soul. She's sweet, gentle, and quietly trying to be brave, even when the world still feels a little bigger than she's ready for. She may not immediately run into your arms, but give her patience, a peaceful home, and a kind canine friend beside her, and you'll begin to see the playful, curious little dog waiting underneath all that shyness.

Watch her video and fall in love with her gentle little soul: https://youtu.be/ShBnZFr9tnw?si=ZPioXFhR2l1KYYyz

Tina is approximately 2 years old, weighs around 17 pounds, and is believed to be a Terrier mix. As always with animal rescue, breed and age are our best guesses, and we can never guarantee either.

Tina is very sweet, but she is also shy and needs time to feel comfortable before showing you more of herself. She isn't the kind of dog who will immediately climb into a stranger's lap or demand everyone's attention. She watches, takes everything in, and opens up when she feels safe. With Tina, trust will be built through patience, consistency, and all those quiet moments that may seem small to everyone else but mean everything to her.

Right now, Tina is more of a dog's dog than a people's dog, and being around other dogs helps her feel comfortable and connected. She is currently fostered with one large dog and one teeny-tiny Miniature Pinscher mix, and she genuinely enjoys their company. She loves playing chase and would be very happy with an easygoing canine friend who is gentle but still willing to play. She isn't looking for anything overly rowdy or rambunctious, just a kind companion who can run around with her without turning every interaction into a wrestling match.

She also met our house cat Biggie and met him appropriately and was very respectful around him. She did not chase Biggie, nor was she bothered by Biggie jumping or doing what cats do. Biggie also felt comfortable around her as well. We do not know if she has ever lived in a home before with a cat and this was our first time seeing her with a cat. If you have a cat in the home, we can arrange for her to have a sleepover with a cat upon request. Just let us know!

Some of Tina's happiest moments happen outside. She loves running around, exploring the yard, and keeping her foster company while she gardens. She'll happily wander through the plants, investigate every interesting scent, and enjoy the freedom of having a safe outdoor space where she can relax and be herself. There is something so endearing about watching this shy little dog come alive outside, especially when another dog is nearby to share the adventure.

Inside the home, Tina is wonderfully easy to have around. Her foster says she has great house manners, and she is crate trained and very comfortable in her crate. It gives her a safe, familiar place where she can relax without feeling pressured. She also loves treats and enjoys playing with toys, both of which will be wonderful tools for helping her build confidence and form a bond with her future family.

Tina's softness is what makes her so special. She doesn't need someone who expects an instant connection or measures love by how quickly a dog asks for affection. She needs someone who understands that shy dogs have their own way of saying, "I'm starting to trust you." It may begin with her choosing to stay nearby, following you into the yard, relaxing while you move around the house, or looking to you when she needs reassurance. Eventually, those little moments begin adding up to something incredibly meaningful.

A calm home with patient people and a friendly, gentle dog would give Tina the time and reassurance she needs to continue opening up. She may never be the dog who wants to greet every person she meets, but she doesn't have to be. Tina is sweet, gentle, playful in her own quiet way, and ready to build a life with someone who will love her exactly where she is while giving her the space to become everything she is capable of being.

If you believe the most rewarding relationships are the ones built slowly through trust, patience, and a hundred quiet moments of choosing one another, Tina may be the gentle little soul meant for you.

We are willing to test Tina Tweetie with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know.
