Sebastian - Terrier and Chihuahua Dog Available for Adoption in Yakima, Washington

Meet Sebatian, a six-year-old Terrier/Chihuahua mix weighing almost 40 pounds.

Sebastian is a sweet, medium-sized boy who is currently going through a big adjustment after being surrendered alongside Ella May due to being over the legal limit of dogs. Change has been a little overwhelming for him, and right now he’s feeling nervous as he settles into his new surroundings—but underneath that uncertainty is a good, gentle boy just trying to understand what’s happening.

Sebastian has a calm, low-key nature and walks nicely on leash, which is a great foundation for building his confidence. He’s a bit on the heavier side and would benefit from a gradual diet and regular activity, which should help him slim down and feel even better as he gets more comfortable.

At this stage, Sebastian is looking for a patient, understanding home that can give him time to decompress and adjust at his own pace. With stability, kindness, and reassurance, he’s likely to come out of his shell and show what a loyal and easygoing companion he can be.

Sebastian isn’t asking for much—just a safe place, a steady routine, and someone willing to help him feel secure again. He is a simple dog with simple wants. He is still working on potty training but does use puppy pads reliably, and he does well with both dogs and cats. He can be a bit wary of children, so a home without young kids would likely help him feel most comfortable.

One of his more endearing quirks is that he "sings" to sirens, adding a bit of personality and charm to his otherwise calm, quiet nature.

Sebastian is ready for a soft place to land and a family who will let him settle in at his own pace.
