Rigby - Terrier and Border Collie Dog for Adoption in Westfield, New York

Rigby arrived at NCCR on 8/15/26, transferred from an overwhelmed shelter to give him another chance at finding his happily ever after. He is an approximately 4-year-old neutered male, believed to be a mix of small breed terrier and Border Collie. Rigby weighs just 23 Ibs. and is full-grown; small but leggy! He has tested well with dogs and cats, and although he is a little shy with people at first, he is very good-natured.

*Approved applicants are welcome to participate in our popular Slumber Party program and take a dog home for up to 2 weeks to make sure he/she is a great fit.
If you think you might be interested in adopting, your first step should be to complete an Adoption Application at www.caninerescue.org. *After you have completed your application, you will get a confirmation that we have received your application. It takes a lot of time to process the applications, so we ask for your patience while we do so. If you see that the dog you were interested in has been adopted it means there were many applications for that dog and we did not get as far processing your application before a home was found. We do adopt out of state, however we do not transport or ship dogs. Potential adopters must be able and willing to travel to the Rescue to meet the dog they are interested in.
