MEET LACY FROM A 7 LB SKELETON TO A BEAUTIFUL LITTLE SURVIVOR!
Sweet little Lacy is a gorgeous golden-blonde Terrier mix whose beginning in life was anything but easy.
Lacy and her brother, Luca, were found in DeQueen, Arkansas, living in heartbreaking conditions. When a rescue friend went to check on another dog at the property, she discovered these two babies and convinced their owner to surrender them into foster care.
And thank goodness she did.
When Lacy arrived, she weighed only 7lbs. Her tiny body was little more than skin and bones, and she and Luca were covered in one of the worst flea infestations their foster had ever seen—literally hundreds upon hundreds of fleas.
After an hour long bath, the water was bloody from all the flea bites. Seeing Lacy’s frail little body brought her foster family to tears. They weren’t even sure she would make it through those first few days.
But this little girl had other plans.
She ate like a tiny hungry hippo! Her foster family carefully fed her small meals throughout the day, treated her for fleas and worms, and gave her something she desperately needed love, safety and a chance.
And LOOK AT HER NOW!
Lacy has blossomed from a fragile 7 lbs baby into a beautiful 14.5 lbsgirl! Her fur has grown back, she’s been vaccinated and dewormed, and she’s preparing for her spay. Her ears still need a little extra TLC, but her transformation has been incredible.
And her personality?
Lacy is an absolute LOVE.
Loves her stuffed animals
Loves playing fetch
Loves playing with her brother
Loves cuddling
Loves people
Can be a little shy around other dogs at first
Sweet, playful and incredibly affectionate
She may not always beat big brother Luca to the ball , but she certainly knows how to steal hearts.
Lacy survived a beginning no puppy should ever experience. Now she deserves a lifetime where she never has to wonder if she’ll have food, comfort or someone who loves her again.
If you’re looking for a lovable, playful and loyal little BFF, Lacy might just be your pawfect match.
