My name is Whoppers and I am a 3-year-old "pocket Pit" who weighs about 38 lbs.
I'm small enough to fit in your lap, but let's be honest... I have WAY more energy than my size would suggest! I am one enthusiastic little guy who is ready to play, explore, and find out what we're doing next.
I am a really fun project dog for someone who enjoys training and wants to see a dog learn and grow. I am VERY food motivated and take treats surprisingly gently. My attention span is still a work in progress, but when there are treats involved, I am willing to focus-and with consistency, I think that focus is going to get much better.
I also LOVE toys. In fact, if I don't have an appropriate toy in my mouth, I may decide that your arm or my leash looks like the next best option. I'm not trying to be naughty; I just haven't completely figured out the difference between "things I can play with" and "things I should leave alone."
Because of that, I need a family who is ready to teach me boundaries, impulse control, and polite play. I would probably do best without young children or kids who want to wrestle around with me, as I am strong, energetic, and still learning appropriate ways to interact.
I'm the kind of dog who could really thrive with someone willing to put the work in. Give me structure, exercise, training, toys, and something productive to do, and you'll get to watch me turn all this crazy energy into some pretty awesome skills.
I'm not looking for someone who wants a perfectly polished dog right out of the box. I'm looking for my person-the one who sees all this potential and thinks, "Oh, I can work with that."
If that's you, come meet Whoppers. I promise I'll bring the energy. You just bring the treats.
