Meet Yeti.
Yeti is a 1 to 2 year old Terrier mix weighing 39 pounds, and while his name might make you think of a fearless creature roaming the mountains, this Yeti is actually a gentle, sensitive guy who's still learning that the world isn't such a scary place.
Around strangers, Yeti can be shy and unsure. He prefers to take his time getting to know new people, and he's looking for adopters who will let him move at his own pace. Once he feels safe, though, you'll see a completely different dog. The worried expression softens, his tail starts to wag, and his sweet personality begins to shine through.
Yeti is dog friendly and seems to take comfort in the company of other dogs. He also has an old leg injury that adds a little character to his story, but it doesn't stop him from enjoying life.
Life hasn't always been easy for Yeti, and shelter life has been especially hard on a dog who prefers quiet introductions and familiar faces. What he needs most is a patient, understanding home where he can finally exhale and learn what it feels like to belong.
Because of his fearfulness around strangers, Yeti is looking for an adult only home. In return, you'll get the chance to watch a shy dog slowly blossom into a devoted best friend.
We call him Yeti Spaghetti around here, but the truth is there's nothing silly about how much this dog deserves a second chance.
