Some dogs wag their tails when they're happy. Birdie seems to have decided that being happy is simply her full-time job.

At 4 to 5 years old and 40 pounds, Birdie is a cheerful, people-loving pup who has never met a stranger. Every day is the best day ever in Birdie's world, and she's determined to share that enthusiasm with everyone she meets.

Even though she's only been with us for a short time, Birdie has already become a staff and volunteer favorite. It's easy to see why. She's friendly, affectionate, and always excited to be part of whatever is going on. Going for a walk? Birdie's in. Hanging out on the couch? Birdie's in. Running errands? If she had a vote, Birdie would be in for that too.

Birdie is dog friendly and loves being around people. She's sweet, fun, and full of personality. Sometimes her excitement gets the better of her and she can be a little rowdy, but she's eager to learn and responds well to guidance. She just needs a family willing to help her polish up her manners while appreciating all the joy she brings along with them.
