I know a girl who's tough but sweet; she's so fine she can't be beat. I want Candie! I want Candie!

This petite little 1-year-old Maltese mix is kind of like your favorite box of chocolates. A little hard on the outside, but soft and sweet on the inside! She's also just under 10 pounds, so you can hold her in your hands!

Candie is still learning about this big ole' world, and that people aren't always so scary. She might take a little bit to earn your trust, but once you break through that outer coating, she'll be melting in your hands and glued to your lap!

This adorable little girl already knows what her kennel is and happily sleeps in it at night, as if it's her own little wrapper! She's still learning about house training, leash walks, and all the dog things that exist in her new world. Candie loves other dogs and is ok with cat friends too. Although she hasn't really been around kiddos, because of her size and personality, she might do better with bigger/older ones.

For Candie to be the best treat in your house, she will need a fenced-in yard, a mellow environment, the patience to help her continue learning about becoming a confident K9, and someone who's ready to love her! She would also probably be happy with a dog sibling to help teach her the ropes.

Candie is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and current on heartworm preventative and flea/tick prevention. Her adoption fee is $225, and you can meet her once you're approved to adopt.
