Skippy - Terrier and Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Milan, Illinois

Say hello to Skippy! Skippy is a 3-year-old Terrier mix weighing 32 pounds, he's a volunteer favorite who is ready to find a family of his very own.

Skippy came to us from another shelter, and now we're hoping his next stop will be his forever home! He's a special little guy with plenty of love to give, and we know someone out there is going to be lucky to call him theirs. You may notice he is missing a leg, but that does not slow him down! Skippy loves to explore and is happy to keep up with the people he loves.

Skippy is heartworm positive. Heartworm disease is treatable, and we can talk you through his care plan and what to expect. He will need consistent heartworm prevention and follow-up care, and we're here to help guide his adopter through the process. Skippy has also tested positive for ehrlichia, a tick-borne infection. We're happy to discuss what this means for his health, any recommended treatment, and the care he may need moving forward. His medical conditions don't change how deserving he is of a loving home!

This lovable tripod deserves a chance to enjoy all the good things life has to offer, from cozy naps to adventures with his favorite person. Could Skippy be the missing piece of your family?
