Meet Riley, a 2-year-old Terrier mix with a sweet face and a heart ready to love! At just 2 years old, Riley has so many wonderful adventures ahead of her and is hoping to find a family who will give her the second chance she deserves. She's ready to trade shelter life for a warm home, a comfy bed, and a person to call her own.

Riley is heartworm positive, but that diagnosis doesn't define her or her future. Heartworm disease is treatable with proper veterinary care, time, and patience, and dogs can go on to live happy, healthy lives after treatment. Riley is looking for someone who will see the loving companion behind the diagnosis and give her the chance to show just how special she is.

Riley's $250 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccines, microchip AND transport fee to a location near you. We currently have transportation to CT, MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA, GA, and TN. Please email transport@hssm.org for more information on transports!
