Meet Norman - The Sweetest Couch Potato You'll Ever Love
Potato... or dog? We're honestly still trying to figure that out. One thing we do know is that Norman is one of the kindest, gentlest souls you'll ever meet.
This handsome 3-year-old, 54-pound Terrier mix recently lost everything he knew when his beloved owner passed away. Through no fault of his own, Norman found himself in a shelter, trying to understand why the person he loved never came back. Even with a broken heart, he has chosen hope. Every day, he puts one paw in front of the other, patiently waiting for someone to give him another chance to love-and be loved.
Norman is the definition of an easygoing companion. He's incredibly sweet, submissive, and gets along beautifully with everyone he meets, both people and dogs. He even lived peacefully with a small dog, proving that his gentle nature isn't just for humans. Whether he's making new friends or quietly hanging out beside them, Norman simply enjoys being part of the family.
If you're looking for a dog who wants to be in the middle of nonstop chaos, Norman will politely pass. He'd much rather be your professional couch potato, your Netflix binge buddy, or your shadow as you move from room to room. His favorite place is wherever his people are.
He also has a hilarious side. On warm days you'll often find him happily soaking in a kiddie pool, cooling off like it's his own private spa. And if you start giving him belly rubs? Get ready-Norman will roll right over with the biggest smile on his face, convinced you've discovered the greatest activity ever invented.
He's well behaved, knows basic obedience, walks through life with a calm confidence, and settles into routines with ease. It's easy to picture Norman slipping right back into home life, stretching out on a cozy bed, following his favorite person around the house, and finally feeling safe again.
Around the shelter, Norman has quietly stolen a lot of hearts. He's one of those dogs who doesn't demand attention-he simply earns it with his gentle spirit and loving personality.
(Shhh... don't tell the others, but he's my favorite boy.)
Norman has already experienced heartbreaking loss. Now he deserves a future filled with soft beds, lazy afternoons, belly rubs, pool days, and a family who will never let him wonder where he belongs again.

We are a foster-based rescue and generally do not have animals at our office, and not all animals attend adoption events. To coordinate a meet and greet with a specific animal please contact us!
We can only finalize adoptions at events for approved adopters. The earlier you apply, the better, it takes time to review and approve applications!
We host adoption events almost every Saturday from *11:00 AM to 2:00 PM* around the Fort Collins community!
