Meet Penny!

Penny is a happy, energetic little girl who is ready to leave her rough start behind and find a family of her own.

Penny and her siblings were abandoned together on a dirt road, so we don't know their history or exactly what breeds they are. We believe they are around 7 months old. They were very small when they came to us and may have been malnourished for an extended period of time, but they are steadily gaining weight and making great progress.

Penny currently weighs about 22 pounds. We expect her to mature to around 30-35 pounds, although because her breed and history are unknown, she may ultimately stay smaller.

Penny is full of energy and loves to run, play, and have fun. She loves toys, treats, and other dogs, and she is good with kids. She is also a very smart girl who catches on quickly when she's learning something new.

One thing Penny is still working on is her enthusiasm for people - she tends to jump when she gets excited. She's learning that all four feet belong on the floor, and her intelligence should make her a quick study.

Penny does have a fairly high prey drive and wants to chase the cat whenever she sees him, so a home without cats would likely be the best fit for her.

She and her siblings have made great progress with house training, and she is continuing to learn and grow into the wonderful young dog she is meant to be.
