Meet Habanero!
Habanero is a 4-year-old sweetheart with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. While he may be a little shy when meeting new people, he warms up quickly and, once he trusts you, becomes the ultimate cuddle buddy. His favorite place is curled up in your lap while soaking up plenty of pets and massages from his favorite humans.
Habanero is completely house trained and has not had a single accident since arriving in his foster home. He's also crate trained and settles quietly in his kennel without making a peep.
He loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with another playful canine companion to help build his confidence and keep him entertained. He does bark at cats, but with consistent training and proper introductions, he may be able to learn to coexist with them.
One thing to keep in mind is that Habanero has a soft, wiry coat that requires regular professional grooming—about four times a year—so future adopters should plan for that expense.
Although new situations can make him a little nervous at first, Habanero has shown absolutely no aggression. He's simply a kind, loving boy looking for a patient family that will give him the time to settle in and blossom into the amazing companion he is.
