Meet Trevor!
Trevor is a 4-year-old Chihuahua mix weighing about 15 pounds, and he is ready to find the loving family he's been waiting for.
After surviving on the streets of Houston, Texas, Trevor has quickly embraced the comforts of home life and is proving to be a wonderful companion. He has a gentle, affectionate personality and truly loves people. Adults, children, visitorseveryone is a potential friend. He recently visited a daycare and happily soaked up all the attention from children of every age.
One of Trevor's favorite places is right by your side. He follows his foster mom from room to room, patiently watching and waiting, always wanting to be part of whatever is happening. He forms strong bonds with his people and loves being included in daily life.
Trevor's fur is incredibly soft, and so is his heart. He loves to cuddle, snuggle on the couch, and settle in close after a day of adventures. His energy level is medium, making him a great balance of playful and relaxed. He enjoys playing with his favorite stuffies, exploring outside, sniffing around the yard, and then curling up for a nap.
This handsome little guy is wonderful on a leash and proudly trots along during walks. He is eager to learn and is already beginning to understand words like "walk" and "kennel." Trevor wants to please his people and will thrive with continued guidance and positive reinforcement.
His kennel is his safe and happy place. He keeps his bed and toys there, eats his meals in his kennel, and often chooses to go inside on his own for a quiet nap with the door left open.
Trevor is doing an excellent job with potty training and has made tremendous progress. He is very close to having it mastered and will continue to succeed with consistency, reminders, and a regular routine in his forever home.
Trevor currently lives with both large and small dogs and does well with respectful canine companions. He could happily share his home with another dog or be your one-and-only and soak up all the attention for himself. He has shown a little possessiveness over two favorite emotional-support stuffies, but he responds well to gentle correction and continues to learn.
One thing that makes Trevor especially special is how adaptable he is. In his foster home, he has been exposed to chickens, ponies, and horses and is completely unfazed by them. He takes new experiences in stride and has shown himself to be a confident, easygoing little dog.
Trevor is healthy, has no special dietary needs, and is ready to start the next chapter of his life.
His dream home would be one where he is truly part of the family. He'd love to help walk the kids to the bus stop, join in family adventures, supervise household activities, cuddle on the couch after dinner, and tuck both the kidsand himselfinto bed at night.
If you're looking for a loyal companion with a loving heart, a playful spirit, and endless devotion to his people, Trevor may be the perfect addition to your family.
Trevor has survived the streets, learned to trust, and discovered the joy of belonging. Now all he needs is a forever family to call his own.
