Sunshine is ready to travel to a community that will truly cherish her as a family member. She is currently in Oklahoma at our rescue. Because we want her transition to be as smooth as possible, we arrange direct-to-adopter transport to specific cities (listed below!).

Adoptions are finalized in advance so that Sunshine can hop off the transport and right into your waiting arms. We stand by our pups for life—in the rare event it isn't a perfect match, Sunshine is never without a safety net; she will simply return to our care in Oklahoma on the next available transport until her perfect home is found.

Meet Sunshine: The Driven Adventure Partner
Sunshine is a striking 40-pound wirehaired beauty who is ready to find her "person." We recently received her DNA results, and they explain her vibrant personality perfectly: she is a mix of Jagdterrier (36%), Labrador Retriever (30.2%), Australian Shepherd (22.2%), and Australian Cattle Dog (11.6%).

With a lineage composed almost entirely of high-drive working breeds, Sunshine is not a "couch potato" pet. She is an elite athlete who requires an active, experienced owner who understands the specific needs of terriers and herding breeds.

The Ideal Home
• A Job to Do: Sunshine thrives when she has a purpose. Whether it’s agility, advanced obedience, hiking, or nose work, she needs mental and physical stimulation to be her best self.
• Adult-Only Household: Due to her breed traits and high intensity, she requires a home with no small children.
• No Other Pets: Sunshine has a very high prey drive. She cannot live with cats or small animals. Out of an abundance of caution, she also needs to be the only dog in the home.
• Breed Experience: Preference will be given to adopters familiar with Jagdterriers or other high-drive working terriers.

About Sunshine
• Age: Approximately 1 year old (estimated DOB March 2025).
• Training & Manners: She walks well on a leash and is a star in the car (she prefers the back seat or riding comfortably in her crate). She appears to be housebroken, as she keeps her kennel clean.
• Personality: She is a "work hard, play hard" girl. She loves a spirited game of tug-of-war, enjoys trips to the park, and—like any good Lab mix—never turns down a pup cup!
• Resilience: Despite a difficult start where her previous owner didn't understand her needs, Sunshine has shown us nothing but her bright, capable spirit.
Sunshine is a loyal, intelligent, and capable dog for the right handler.

Her adoption includes:

Fully Vetted: Sunshine is already spayed and up-to-date on all her essential vaccinations (Rabies, DHLPP, and Bordetella).

Prevention: she has been dewormed and is kept on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Tested heartworm negative.

Safety First: To ensure she is in tip-top shape for her new family, she will be microchipped and receive a fresh fecal exam and a certified Health Certificate—all performed within 10 days of her transport date.

Adoption Details
Sunshine’s adoption fee is $700. This fee is all-inclusive, covering her spay, all veterinary care listed above, and her seat on a professional transport service dedicated to getting her safely to your area.
