Terrier and Dachshund Dogs Available for Adoption in Grand Bay, Alabama

Meet Tux! This is one of momma Trixie’s babies that we saved from a local overcrowded shelter. This sweet babies is going on 4 weeks and weighs 2 lbs. Momma weighs around 15 lbs and is a doxie/scruffy terrier mix but dad is unknown. We do believe the babies will likely be 15-25 lbs as adults, but that is a guess. They will be ready in 5 weeks once they are old enough for altering and their second round of vaccines. We are taking apps now and reserving them to the perfect forever homes!

Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals.

All dogs have a $195 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies will be altered before adoption. All rescues and shelters practice pediatric spay and neuter. This is essential in our rescue efforts and it is a policy that we will stick by. All dogs over 8 weeks and 2 pounds will be altered before adoption. There are no exceptions to this rule on all healthy and adoptable dogs. We have researched and discussed in depth with multiple vets everything on pediatric spay and neuter and from a rescue stand point it must be done. Please do not ask for an extension on spay and neutering, it will NOT be granted on a healthy puppy!

Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $145 is due at pick up.
