Sweet Salome' was sadly kept on a back porch ... where she was given no time, affection or love, or potty breaks.... just left all alone. Luckily she was noticed by a neighbor, who occasionally went over and took her out for the attention that she craved. The owner agreed to surrender Salome' to our rescue.

This 3 1/2yo, 19lb. sweet and friendly possible terrier/chihuahua mix appears housebroken, and after only a day of shyness, she opened up and has become such a love! She will give you lots of kisses, do zoomies and then settle down to her calm self as close to you as she can get, enjoying a doggy bone.

Salome' loves walks, and is easy to handle. She apparently hasn't had toys in her past but is learning they can be fun. She definitely loves chewies!

She has not been around cats or other dogs while with our rescue, but we were told she had a dog companion at one time. She does wag her tail at the other fur kids when they meet her through the fence.

So far, this sweet lady is quiet and we haven't heard her bark - not at the other dogs, or any wildlife passing by. That may change once she's comfortable and in her forever home, but then.... maybe not.

Since she is nervous at first, we recommend older, respectful kids. If you would like to show Salome' how good life can actually be, she would be eternally grateful. We are requiring a fenced yard for her to do her zoomies.
