Meet Violet!

Some dogs leave paw prints on your heart the moment you meet them, and Violet is one of those dogs.

Violets story began when she walked up to one of our board members, looking for help. She was extremely underweight, had wounds all over her body, and had no microchip to help us find where she belonged. We don't know what happened before she found us, but we do know what happened next: Violet was received into our rescue where she was taken to a loving foster home and is now safe, healthy, happy, and ready to find her forever family.

The Best Part of Violet? Her Love.

Violet is happiest when she can be close to her people. Give this girl a couch, a cozy blanket and someone to snuggle beside, and she is in heaven. She is incredibly affectionate and loves simply hanging out with her family.

Staffordshire Terrier-type dogs are often known for their deep attachment to people, as well as their loyalty, playfulness and big personalities. Violet certainly fits that description. She wants a person of her own to love — and she has plenty of love to give.

Violets Dream Home:

As Violet has shown to be the "alpha" in her foster home, we feel it would be best if she was the only pet in her forever home or in a home with a submissive male dog. No Cats Please! We would love to find her a dog-savvy person or family who will give her consistency, structure, daily mental and physical exercise and plenty of one-on-one attention.

Despite their tough appearance, Staffordshire Bull Terriers thrive on human interaction and require consistent training and socialization to develop into well rounded pets.
