Birdie is a sweet momma who made her way to us from Texas after raising 10 babies, and it was clear she had given everything she had. She arrived completely emaciated, but despite that, her spirit never wavered.

She is fun, funny, and incredibly sweet. One of her foster's favorite moments was watching her discover herself in the mirror and bark like she had just met a new friend. It perfectly captures her goofy, endearing personality. Love, toys, and peanut butter seem to be her favorites, in that order!

She has done well with other dogs, though a thoughtful introduction is important. She would likely do best with a dog who matches her energy and respects her space. That said, she does not need another dog to be happy and would thrive soaking up all the love as someone's one and only.

Birdie does not do well with young children. Would do best with teen age and above

Birdie is crate-trained and housetrained! She sleeps in her crate all night without a peep. She's doing really well with leash training too, she is gentle and enjoys a leisurely walk with lots of sniffing stops.

After everything she has been through, Birdie deserves a home where she can finally be cared for, feel safe, and just enjoy being a dog.
