Meet Portobello, an adorable Silky Terrier estimated to be around 4–6 years old. He came to us as a stray, and now this sweet little guy is ready to leave shelter life behind and find his forever home. Portobello can be a little shy when he first meets you, but once he feels comfortable, you’ll quickly discover what a loving boy he really is. He is a total cuddle bug who absolutely LOVES being in his person’s lap. If you’re looking for a little companion who wants to be close to you and soak up plenty of attention, Portobello could be your perfect match. When he gets overly excited or when it’s time to go into his crate, he can become a bit mouthy. Because of this, Portobello would do best in a home without young children who may not understand his boundaries. He may be able to live with another dog, but he would prefer a calm, easygoing canine companion who matches his demeanor. A meet-and-greet with any potential doggy sibling would be important to make sure they’re a good fit. Portobello would thrive with someone who has the time to give him lots of attention, affection, and daily walks. He’s looking for a person who wants a true little companion — one who will happily curl up in your lap after a nice walk and remind you that the best things in life come in small packages.
