Meet Sophie. Sophie is a sweet 9 year old female spayed Husky. Sophie has spent her past years outside on a concrete patio in the southeast Texas heat until she was surrendered by her previous owner in mid-June. At her foster's home she is starting to come out of her shell and is enjoying the newfound comforts of air conditioning, a big soft bed, and of course lots of love. She is recovering from a urinary tract infection, severe ear infection, and some skin allergies (likely secondary to fleas) and is already feeling much better! She is a little shy and easy going and loves to follow you around soaking up the attention. She is great with cats but she is unsure about other dogs (dog to dog intros still a work in progress). She has been updated on all her vaccines, and amazingly, she is heartworm negative with no intestinal parasites. She is looking for a home where she can love and be loved.
