One day, she was gently loaded onto a truck with several other dogs and driven away—away from everything familiar. A new state. A new climate. A new life. What was meant to be temporary, just a safe place while her family got back on their feet, slowly became permanent. Months passed... and the calls never came. The promises faded. And Callie was left behind.

We believe that Callie is a 6yearold Lab/Catahoula mix, weighing around 50 lbs, with the kindest soul. She spends her days surrounded by other dogs, finding comfort in companionship and routine. She is incredibly loving, takes treats gently, adores belly rubs, and is a wonderful alert dog—always aware when something feels out of place.

This sweet girl was kept safe at rescue for months, holding space for the family she believed would come back for her. Instead, the rescue received the heartbreaking call—Callie was no longer wanted.
