Meet Shimmy! Thig GORGEOUS boy had a ruff start to life! He was abandoned in a small, New Mexico town. His fur was so overgrown and matted that the shelter wasn't able to identify his sex. So Nika was his given name-as a female! This poor baby was so petrified that they labeled the dog, "feral." Nothing could have been further from the truth.

Well we aren't gender confused anymore! Shimmy got out of that shelter, we cleaned him up, and got him groomed. He's turned into the biggest lover. He's been socialized with dogs, cats, kids, and men and women. After several tests, the vet determined that Shimmy must have been neutered at a very young age (the only good thing his original humans did for him-or a previous shelter?).
