Meet Winston — A Happy Survivor Ready for His Forever Home
Winston fought hard for his chance at life, and now this sweet boy is ready for the best part of his story — finding a family of his own.
Winston is approximately 8–9 months old and 29 lbs, and he may still gain a little more weight as he finishes growing. He is a distemper survivor who has grown into a happy, playful, affectionate young dog who can enjoy a regular, active life.
Winston loves everyone he meets and does wonderfully with dogs and cats. He loves playing with toys, being around his people, and he definitely loves his food! He already knows how to use a doggy door and is working hard on his potty training.
As a result of surviving distemper, Winston has a lasting neurological tic that causes involuntary muscle twitching along his jawline. He walks normally, and his tic does not stop him from playing, exploring, or enjoying everyday life. It may simply always be a little part of what makes Winston special.
More than anything, Winston deserves to be seen for the wonderful young dog he is — sweet, playful, social, and full of life.
We are looking for Winston’s forever family, but he is also in need of a foster or foster-to-adopt home while he waits. He needs someone who will give him love, stability, and the opportunity to continue growing and thriving.
Winston fought so hard for his life as a tiny puppy. Now he just needs someone to open their heart and give him the life he fought so hard to have.
The Siberian Husky is a medium sized working dog breed known for its striking appearance and friendly demeanor. Originating from Siberia, these dogs are well adapted to cold climates and are recognizable for their distinctive wolf like appearance, including piercing almond shaped eyes and a thick double coat. Siberian Huskies are known for their high energy levels, intelligence, and strong willed nature, making them best suited for active families and experienced dog owners who can provide them with plenty of exercise and mental stimulation.
