Kaya - Siberian Husky Dog for Adoption in Middletown, Connecticut

KAYA

Siberian Husky
🇺🇸
Middletown, Connecticut
August 27th
female, medium, adult

DESCRIPTION

Meet Kaya, a beautiful 4 yr old adult female husky! Kaya weighs about 40 lbs.

Kaya is a very sweet, friendly girl who loves her people and enjoys making new friends - human and canine alike! She loves kids, but we recommend older kids 8+ or dog savvy kids, as she may unintentionally knock over a small child. She has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how she would do with cats. Kaya can do a 1 week foster to adopt trial with an approved adopter so you can see how she settles in before committing to adoption.

From Kaya's current foster:

"Kaya is still learning to be a dog. She was kept outside and recently had a litter of puppies with her previous owner but is settling in well to her new life with her foster. She will need to be spayed when ready. She loves kids and and enjoys playing with other dogs. She's very sweet, gentle, docile, and smart. She is house and doggy door trained. She does not like anything resembling a tie out and needs a good outlet for her energy."

She is medically up to date and house trained. Apply to meet this good girl today!

Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs. We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted. As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding!
