Candy's life changed when her beloved owner had to move into a nursing home, leaving this precious girl in need of a new family. At approximately 9 years old and weighing just 9 pounds, Candy is the perfect lap-sized companion.

Despite losing the only home she knew, Candy has remained incredibly loving and friendly. She enjoys being close to her people, whether she's relaxing beside you on the couch or following you around the house. She's past the puppy stage and appreciates the simple pleasures in life, a cozy bed, a warm lap, and plenty of affection.

Candy is looking for a special family who will open their hearts to a senior dog and give her the love, stability, and comfort she deserves. She has so much love left to give and would be a wonderful companion for someone looking for a sweet, loyal little friend.

Paws of Dixie Animal Rescue adopts in the New England area. Our adoption fee includes the spay/neuter, up to date shots, Microchip, Alabama Health Certificate, and the transport service to get the new family pet to you.

The pets are delivered by a licensed transporter.

Please be advised that our volunteers are busy rescuing, transporting, and caring for our animals. We will respond to your application as soon as possible. Upon review of your application, the rescue in AL will contact you, so you can ask any specific questions that you may have.

NOTE: All Paws of Dixie animals are located in AL foster homes. They will be transported north after adoption.

If there is more than one decision maker in the home, all of them should be in agreement.
