If you're looking for a sweet, easygoing little companion who simply wants to be by your side, Chuy may be your guy! Chuy is a 4-year-old Shih-Tzu mix with a gentle nature and a heart of gold. He isn't demanding or constantly looking for attention—he's perfectly happy just being in the same room with you. And if you're okay with a little closeness, Chuy will happily lean in for some extra love.

He's also wonderfully quiet. Chuy is not a barker or a licker, making him an especially pleasant little roommate. He is crate trained and will go into his crate when needed, but his foster has also been able to leave him loose in the house with no problems at all. When it comes to other dogs, Chuy is a total sweetheart. He gets along beautifully with both small and large dogs and is completely amenable to everyone. We haven't had the opportunity to see how he does with cats yet.

And his house manners? Fantastic! Chuy is completely potty trained and has had zero accidents in his foster home. When he needs to go out, he'll simply sit and look at you to let you know, then happily trot along to the back door. He hasn't shown any destructive chewing either, although he does love his chew toys!

Chuy is the kind of dog who makes having a dog feel easy. He's sweet, charming, well-mannered, gets along with other dogs, and is happiest simply sharing life with his people.
