Meet Blue – Your Cuddly, Zoomie-Loving Squirrel Hunter!

Blue is an almost 2-year-old Shih-Tzu mix with a sweet, playful personality and a few delightfully quirky habits that make him one-of-a-kind!

First things first: Blue LOVES to eat! Put his food down and he'll happily make it disappear immediately. Interestingly, though, he doesn't seem to be much of a fan of treats — so don't expect him to be easily bribed with snacks! When he's not enjoying a meal, Blue loves being close to his people. He's a cuddler who enjoys belly rubs and has an especially funny habit of rubbing his back along the floor, cement, or grass. He also handles bath time surprisingly well, which is always a bonus!

Blue doesn't bark much, but he has discovered a very important job: squirrel hunting. He is a completely silent squirrel hunter, patiently giving chase whenever one catches his attention. Will he ever actually catch one? Probably not... but that certainly isn't going to stop him from trying!

Blue enjoys playing with other dogs and loves a good game of tug-of-war. His enthusiasm for tug can sometimes get a little out of hand, so he'll benefit from continued guidance with appropriate play. He also gets the zoomies and enjoys chasing his canine friends around. He does particularly well with smaller dogs who are easygoing and not overly high-strung or bossy.

He is potty trained, dog-door trained, and crate trained. He's good with other dogs, seems largely uninterested in cats, and walks fairly well on a leash, although there's still a little room for improvement. One thing Blue will happily tell you is that car rides are NOT his favorite thing, so his new family may need to help him become more comfortable with traveling.

Blue is a fun-loving boy who enjoys having canine companions, getting belly rubs, playing, exploring, and then settling in for some cuddle time.
