Hugo (formerly Fez) entered San Bernardino City Animal Control as a matted stray with a large painful eye ulcer. When he wasn't claimed, we welcomed him as a Frosted Face in January 2025. After being groomed and his eye ulcer healed, he felt so much better, and his sweet, loving personality emerged. Fez went on a Frosted Fling and earned a rave review from his foster mom:
"Fez loves cuddles so, so much. His favorite spot to sleep - head on chest. He is the best work from home buddy EVER! He likes playing with soft fluffy squeaky toys.
Fez is great with other animals! We went on a field trip to an Airbnb with 10 dogs, chickens, a horse, kids, and cats, and he was a gentlemen with everyone. He has no problem with other higher energy dogs.
Fez lets you know when he needs to go potty. I carry him outside. He loves it and jumps into my arms and rests his head on my shoulder while we walk outside. He's very, very trusting once he warms up.
It's impressive how Fez gets around with limited vision! I think he can see light in his good eye because he walks much better on his own during the day than at night. He does well unattended in my fenced in backyard. Fez is also good on leash and enjoys slow walks.
Fez is super mellow and loves naps, cuddles, belly rubs, snacks, and fresh air. If you want a low-key lap warmer - Fez is absolutely perfect!"
Fez was adopted soon after by a loving couple and renamed Hugo. Sadly, his dad recently passed away, and his mom, originally from Australia, is returning there to be close to her remaining family members. Now Hugo is back at FFF, looking once again for his forever family. Might that be you?
