Teeka is a beautiful 4-year-old girl who weighs a healthy 17 pounds. She is new to rescue, and we're just beginning to get to know her personality.

As Teeka settles into her foster home, we'll be learning more about her likes, dislikes, and the type of forever family that will help her thrive. For now, we're giving her the time, patience, and love she deserves as she adjusts to her new life.

Typically, an application and home visit (both of which are required for adoption) MUST be completed, BEFORE a potential adopter will be introduced to one of our pets, in order to first determine that our basic adoption requirements are met, prior to introductions being made. We also utilize personal reference and vet checks (to ensure that any pets already in the potential adoptive home are current on vaccines, heart worm prevention and sterilized) in our adoption process, all of which is intended to ensure that the best match, between pet and people, is made. The adoption fee is based on on the dog's age.

Originally bred as companion dogs for Chinese royalty, Shih Tzus are friendly, outgoing, and loving pets. They are known for their playful and charming personality, making them great family pets and suitable for apartment living. With their low shedding coat and adorable face, Shih Tzus are popular among dog lovers worldwide.
