Meet Natasha!
At just 9 pounds and 6 years old, Natasha is proof that age is just a number. This happy little Shih Tzu mix acts more like a youngster than a middle aged lady! She bounces through life with a smile on her face and is always ready to soak up attention from her favorite humans.
Natasha's past wasn't glamorous. She was rescued from a trailer park, and brought to a local municipal shelter. We believe she spent much of her life being used as a breeder dog. But those days are behind her now! She's been spayed, fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, and is ready to start the spoiled pet chapter of her life.
This tiny girl is a professional lap dog. In fact, if there were Olympic events for cuddling, Natasha would be bringing home the gold medal. She loves people, enjoys the company of other dogs, and has been around cats without giving them a second thought.
One of Natasha's most entertaining features? Her bark! Somehow this little 9-pound package produces a bark that sounds like it belongs to a dog three times her size.
The saddest and sweetest thing about Natasha is that she doesn't seem to know how to play with toys. We suspect nobody ever taught her that toys are supposed to be fun. We'd love to see her discover that joy in a loving forever home.
She's also a very good girl who listens when corrected. Tell Natasha "no," and she happily complies because all she really wants is to make her people happy.
