Doris is a sweet grey Shih Tzu mix with soft, expressive eyes and a gentle, loving presence that shines through in everything she does. She arrived at Cobb Animal Services on July 7th, and at 9 years old, this sweet senior girl is ready for a fresh start and a comfortable place to call her own.

There is something truly unjust about a sweet senior dog like Doris waiting in a shelter kennel instead of settled into a home of her own. Senior dogs are so often overlooked, yet they bring a steadiness and settled affection that only comes with age, and Doris's loving nature makes that abundantly clear. She will need a bath and a fresh grooming trim to help her feel her best, which will make a wonderful first step in her new chapter. Due to her age, if Doris is not already spayed, that procedure would need to be completed with an adopter's own veterinarian rather than at the shelter.
