Meet Brutus! This handsome boy arrived at the shelter on 6/5 with his best friend, Kaya. Sadly, their family had to move and was unable to take them along.
Brutus comes with a wonderful history from his former family, who report that he is house-trained, great with children, and gets along well with both cats and other dogs. That's excellent news for anyone looking to add a well-rounded companion to their family! The volunteers describe Brutus as a sweet and gentle dog who is understandably a little scared and confused by the loud, unfamiliar shelter environment. Despite the changes in his life, he remains affectionate and eager to connect with people. Brutus walks nicely on a leash and is especially attentive to the humans around him, often checking in and looking to his person for reassurance and companionship. Brutus is ready to leave shelter life behind and find a loving home where he can feel safe, secure, and cherished once again. Brutus is approximately 10 years old, and weighs 75 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines, has been neutered and microchipped, and did test negative for heartworms. Please come meet Brutus in kennel 78; his ID # is 19656.
