Buttercup - Shih Tzu Dog for Adoption in Lodi, California

Meet Beautiful Buttercup will steal your heart! This precious 4-year-old, 8.5-pound Shih Tzu is a beautiful mix of Creamy white, gray, and apricot. Buttercup and her sister Bubbles, came to Animal Friends Connection after their owner was no longer able to care for their six Shih Tzu. Another rescue was able to take four, and the remaining two were surrendered to AFC. We welcomed Bubbles and Buttercup with open arms. Sadly, these little girls arrived underweight and covered in fleas and ticks. Their treatment began immediately, and we are working hard to get them healthy, happy, and feeling their best. Buttercup is a gentle little girl who is all about melting into your arms and being loved. She will need some leash training and most likely additional potty training as she settles into her new life. She will also require regular professional grooming, so a family with Shih Tzu experience is preferred. Buttercup is scheduled to be spayed and have her teeth cleaned, giving her the fresh start she deserves.
