Teddy is a 9-year-old, 12-pound Shih Tzu who is looking for someone special to give him a second chance.

Teddy is a senior boy who has some trust and behavior challenges. His previous owner reports that he has bitten them three times and can be aggressive with people he knows and strangers. He also does not like children, so an adult-only home is required.

Teddy needs more than just a loving home. He needs an experienced pet owner who understands dog behavior, will respect his boundaries, and is willing to give him time, patience, structure, and consistency.

Teddy also has itchy skin and ears and cataracts, so his adopter must be prepared to continue his veterinary care.

We know Teddy may not be the right dog for everyone. And that's okay. We're looking for the person who understands that some dogs need a little more patience and a lot of understanding.
