Some people really really dont deserve dogs

This little guy was left outside for 2 days in the heat by his owners, and when animal control went to check on the dog someone in the household said they didnt want the f%#!ing dog anyway and they were able to get him surrendered. No name given, age, info, nothing
Hes a moldy matted mess and has been for some time. We found one working eye under the mats, but the other one seems to have had an old untreated injury and some kind of weird haired lump growing over it, and needed to be removed. He was well fed at least, just severely neglected for way too long. He seems like a sweet Shih Tzu boy and not too old, maybe 3-4 years old and at least was being well fed, a chunky 18lbs. He was cooperative for being groomed but was finished under anesthesia since he was so densely matted on his legs especially. His name is now Gremlin, and once he gets his makeover and recovers from eye surgery he will be looking for a real home. One where he will live in the house as part of a family, have a name, regular grooming, and most of all, be loved and valued.

We are a small all-volunteer organization focused on rescuing local dogs from area shelters, as well as accepting some surrenders and puppy mill rescues.
