Effie:
I am a puzzle, my pieces are a bit scattered, but they all come together when I am with Estelle. I have trouble accepting affection without her. Not much information was provided upon intake, but they do know; I get my confidence from Estelle. I know I have a face that just makes you want to pick me up and show me that love is grand. I can trust you and to not be afraid. That is not what I need. I need time, patience, and Estelle. I will go for walks on lead, as long as I am with Estelle, I will accept pets and will play with toys with you, maybe even give you kisses, when I am with Estelle. In time, I will grow to love and trust you, but it will not happen if I am forced into it without my security blanket. I am submissive with other dogs, and I like cats; they are bigger than I am. I will require a secure, fenced yard as I am tiny and can fit through small spaces. For more information about me and my friend Estelle, please contact the shelter.
Estelle:
I am a very sweet lady. I love to go for walks and play with my best friend, Effie. I am very affectionate and enjoy lots of love and kisses. Not much information was provided when I arrived at the shelter. I appear to have had pups in the past, but I am spayed now. Effie may have been a pup from one of my litters; she is very reliant on me. We are a package deal.
I had not received much vet care in my previous situation and I am heartworm positive. I am currently receiving treatment. I am available for foster with intent to adopt or possibly foster until my treatment is completed in October. More information can be provided if someone is interested in adopting or just fostering us. It all starts with an application.
I would prefer a more mature home atmosphere, although I am playful, Effie would not do well in a household with unusual commotion. I will be fine with dog-friendly cats. For more info on me or my friend Effie, please reach out to the shelter.
