DESCRIPTION
Let me introduce you to Dana
Dana came to the rescue scene via another rescue group, Fedwell Farms, and when the unthinkable happened and the director passed, Dana and many others had to find solutions.
Hope of Deliverance stepped in to help find placement for these dogs and Dana was probably by far the saddest case. A fear baby that didn't know love and couldn't trust without LOTS of time and patience.
Well - in the right atmosphere, Dana has become a playful, silly, happy girl. She still needs reassurance at times but she has spirit. This smart and capable pup thrives on activity and loves nothing more than exploring the great outdoors or engaging in a challenging game of tug. Dana enjoys new adventures with her person.
Her compatibility with other dogs is case by case, this girl tends to "herd" her canine friends, so a patient, confident dog would be her best match.
Embrace the journey ahead and welcome Dana into your heart today!
ABOUT: CAROLINA DOG DOG BREED
The Carolina Dog, a primitive breed known for its wild ancestry, is a medium sized, agile, and intelligent dog originally found roaming freely in the Southeastern United States. With a distinctive appearance marked by erect ears, a bushy tail, and a sable coat, Carolina Dogs are highly adaptable, affectionate with their families, and wary of strangers, making them excellent watchdogs. Their natural hunting instincts and independence require consistent training and an active lifestyle to thrive in a loving home environment.
The shepherd dog breed encompasses a versatile group known for their intelligence, loyalty, and strong work ethic. With a heritage deeply rooted in herding and protecting livestock, shepherds excel at various tasks ranging from obedience and agility competitions to search and rescue missions. Their protective nature makes them excellent family pets, offering unwavering devotion and a natural instinct to watch over and care for their loved ones. In addition to their remarkable abilities, shepherds are often characterized by their distinctive appearance, including a sturdy build, alert expression, and a signature double coat that provides insulation and protection in various climates.
