Nalas story began with fear, hunger, and uncertainty—but today, she is a beautiful example of what love, patience, and trust can accomplish.

On May 5, 2026 San Miguel de Allende Mexico, Nala, then just six months old, was discovered hiding in the bushes on a secluded corner of a property in the community. It is believed that she had been abandoned from a car and had been left to fend for herself for several days.
She was frightened, severely underfed, and understandably cautious. Yet something about Nala was different. She never tried to run away and showed none of the typical behaviors of a dog who had spent her life on the streets. Instead, she simply hid, waiting and hoping someone would help her.
Even when food was offered, Nala was too frightened to approach.
With patience, kindness, and time, everything began to change.
Slowly, Nala learned that she was safe. She began allowing physical contact, then affection, and eventually trust. Today, this once-frightened puppy has transformed into a healthy, confident, affectionate, and incredibly loving young dog.

About Nala:
Nala is a beautiful mixed-breed sporting dog with a strong, athletic build, dramatic markings, beautiful eyes, and a thin, low-shedding coat. She is expected to be a medium-to-large-sized adult dog.
She is:
- Extremely intelligent and quick to learn
-Affectionate and loyal — she loves being close to her people
-Athletic and playful — she absolutely loves running, playing, and retrieving a ball
-Dog-friendly and enjoys socialization at doggie day camp
- Friendly with children and has shown no negative reaction toward them
-Shy but friendly with new people
-Housebroken, while still needing regular puppy potty breaks
-Crate trained and happily goes into her crate, especially when a treat is involved
-Learning leash skills
-Already knows come, sit, down, off, and leave it
-Generally quiet and calm with a natural ability to settle
- Alert without being a constant barker
- Very sensitive and eager to please

Nala is still a puppy, and like all young dogs, she will thrive with continued training, structure, patience, exercise, and positive reinforcement. She is sensitive to correction, so a gentle and encouraging approach will bring out her very best.
She would love an active family who will give her opportunities to run, play, learn, explore, and be part of the family. At the end of the day, however, Nala is just as happy being close to her person—she may even climb into your lap if you let her!
