Foster Notes / Backstory:
Ada’s life has been a series of second chances—and she’s still waiting for the one that finally lasts.
She was first saved as a tiny puppy and placed in a foster home, where she got her first taste of safety and care. She was then adopted, but heartbreakingly, that home didn’t keep her. Ada and her sister were later found dumped, left to fend for themselves. After ending up in a shelter, she was adopted again—but this time, she wasn’t truly welcomed. She was never brought inside, never made part of a family, and missed out on the love every dog deserves.
And yet… Ada still chooses love.
Despite everything she’s been through, Ada is incredibly sweet, gentle, and eager to connect. She may be a little shy at first, understandably unsure in new situations, but once she feels safe, her affectionate and loyal nature shines through. She wants so badly to trust—and when she does, it’s something truly special.
In her foster home, Ada has shown just how amazing she is. She’s fully house trained, crate trained, and very intelligent, already learning commands and routines quickly. She walks well on leash once she’s comfortable and enjoys getting out for fresh air and exploration. She rides nicely in the car and settles well in her crate.
Ada thrives with other dogs and would love a confident canine companion to help guide her and share in playtime. She adores squeaky toys and loves playing with her foster siblings. She’s also been respectful around the resident cat—curious but gentle, never chasing or bothering.
Because of her past, Ada will need a patient, understanding home that will go at her pace and help her continue building confidence. A secure yard is important, as she can be a flight risk if frightened.
What Ada needs most is someone who won’t give up on her again.
In return, she will give you a bond built on trust, resilience, and unconditional love—the kind that only a dog who’s been through it all can offer.
