Brady's story could have ended very differently.
At 10 months old, he was found abandoned on the side of a country road in Guadalupe County, where two compassionate women rescued him and brought him to Good Catch. When he arrived, he needed good food, veterinary care, and, most of all, kindness. Two months later, Brady has blossomed into a healthy, happy, fully vetted young dog who's ready to find the family he deserves.
We did a Wisdom panel on our boy and found out that Brady is a mix of 21 breeds. While the top breed is only 17% Chow, he resembles more of the 12% Shepherd that he's made of. He is smart, eager to learn and please and loyal. You can find his DNA results by going to our website: goodcatchdogrescue.org
Brady is one of those dogs who seems to fit in wherever he goes. He's gentle, easygoing, and wonderfully balanced. Whether he's spending time with senior dogs, playful puppies, or dogs his own age, he reads the room and adjusts beautifully. He's smart, eager to learn, and picked up crate training on his very first day.
He's fully housetrained, walks nicely on a leash, and has excellent manners around the house. His foster reports that he has never destroyed anything, even when left out of his crate. He enjoys toys, chew bones, tasty treats, and a good play session but he's just as happy curling up beside you for an afternoon nap.
Brady would love a home with a yard where he can stretch his legs. He's done well meeting older children and continues to gain confidence with new people when they're patient and calm. He thinks the cats and cows on the other side of the fence are worth barking at, so we'd recommend a cat-free home. (The cows don't seem to mind.)
He's affectionate without being demanding, calm indoors, and will happily let you know when someone is at the door. At the end of the day, Brady is simply an easy dog to love and the kind of companion who settles right into your heart.
Brady is neutered, fully vaccinated (rabies, DHLPP, and Bordetella), current on flea and tick prevention with Bravecto, and protected with a 12-month ProHeart injection for heartworm prevention. He will also receive a health certificate from our veterinarian before transport.
If you're looking for a loyal best friend with great manners, a sweet personality, and the perfect size for almost any home, Brady just might be your good catch.
For out-of-state adopters, Brady can travel safely with one of our trusted transport partners. We adopt to multiple states to help each dog find the perfect forever home.
