Quick Tips for Bringing Home a Shepherd-Terrier Pup

Puppies this age learn fast! Here are a few ways to set them up for success from day one:

Start Potty Training Immediately: Take them out right after sleeping, playing, or eating. Praise heavily and give a treat as soon as they go outside!

Redirect Mouthing: Terriers love to chew and Shepherds explore with their mouths. Always keep a toy handy to swap out when they go for hands or furniture.

Crate Training is Your Best Friend: A crate creates a safe, quiet den for naps, aids in housebreaking, and gives them a comfortable space to settle down.

Early & Positive Socialization: Expose them gently to new sounds, surfaces, and friendly people to build their confidence.
