Sherlock - Loves to Investigate his World - Shepherd and Terrier Dog for Adoption in Houston, Texas

At just 5 weeks old, Sherlock and his siblings were found abandoned, locked inside a crate, on a rural Texas road. A kind passerby spotted them and quickly got them out of the heat and into the county shelter. That’s when Freedom Street Rescue stepped in to give Sherlock a loving foster home while he searches for his forever family.

Sherlock is an energetic, curious, and friendly puppy who loves the simple joys in life like balls, squeaky toys, wrestling with his siblings, and being carried around the house in his foster mom's arms!

Sherlock has a beautiful medium length tri-colored coat. He earned the name Sherlock because he likes to investigate every new thing he finds! The shelter listed his litter as pit bull mixes, but his foster mom says his medium coat, tri-colored markings and body style look much more like a shepherd mix. Sherlock's approximate date of birth is 7/14/2026. He weighed 3.6 pounds at 6 weeks, so he will most likely grow to be a medium sized dog. Sherlock is vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to find his forever home. He’s too young to be neutered at this time so his adopter will be responsible for having him fixed at the appropriate age.

Sherlock's adoption fee is $275 plus a transport fee of $250. He will be old enough to travel the weekend of September 19, 2026. Sherlock is being fostered in Texas but will transport to the Georgia upon adoption.
