When Faith arrived at HSSM on August 27, it was clear that she had been surviving on her own outdoors for quite some time. And she was suffering. Her skin, ravaged by demodex, was cracked, painful, and bleeding with every movement.

But even in the midst of so much discomfort, Faith never stopped being brave. She never stopped being gentle. And she never stopped trusting the people who were trying to help her.

Today, we are beyond happy to share that Faith has made a complete transformation and is FINALLY fully recovered from demodex! Thanks to the dedication of our compassionate veterinary team and the generous supporters who give to our Chicken Soup Fund, Faith received the very best treatment and care she needed to heal. Every donation helped make her recovery possible, and now this sweet girl is ready for her next chapter.

Just look at her now! Her beautiful spirit has carried her through so much, and she has stolen the hearts of everyone who has had the privilege of caring for her. She has gone from a suffering stray to a happy, healthy girl ready to graduate from the shelter and into the loving home she has always deserved. ??

Faith's $300 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccines, microchip AND transport fee to a location near you. We currently have transportation to CT, MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA, GA, and TN. Please email transport@hssm.org for more information on transports!

A staff member will reach out if your application is approved to discuss the adoption process. No fenced in yard required, and YES - we adopt to families with children! The adoption will not be final until the adoption contract is discussed and signed. Transports are arranged for specific dates, typically within 1-3 weeks of approving your application.
