Meet Woodrow!

At 8-9 years old, Woodrow is proof that some of the very best dogs only get better with age. This handsome Shepherd mix weighs just 39 pounds and, despite being a tripod, doesn't let life slow him down. He's currently looking for either a foster or forever family where he can spend his golden years surrounded by love.

It's hard to find anything negative to say about Woodrow-he truly is about as close to perfect as they come. He's a low-maintenance, easygoing gentleman who gets along wonderfully with both dogs and cats. Most of the time, he's happy to lounge around, soak up affection, and enjoy the simple things in life. Every now and then, though, his playful side shines through, and he'll surprise you with little bursts of puppy energy as he plays with his people and canine friends.

Woodrow enjoys short walks of about 10 minutes before he's ready to head back for a nap. He can manage stairs as long as there aren't too many, but if needed, he doesn't mind being scooped up and carried like the lovable sack of potatoes he is. He isn't interested in toys, but he never says no to treats or a soft chew. Because of his older teeth, he does best with wet food or softer kibble.

This sweet boy is potty trained and does a great job letting you know when he needs to go outside. When nature calls, he'll let out a few barks to make sure you don't miss his request. Otherwise, he's content to relax by your side, cuddle up, and simply enjoy being with his people.
