Meet Mandy - an 8-year-old Spaniel/Collie mix looking for the cozy forever couch she deserves for her golden years.

This sweet old lady was found wandering outside with severely matted fur that had to be shaved down. While she may look a little different right now, we can already tell just how beautiful her coat is going to be once it grows back in. More importantly, her gentle and loving personality shines brighter than any fluffy coat ever could.

Mandy is the definition of a companion dog. She loves to cuddle, follow her people from room to room, and be your little shadow throughout the day. She also enjoys going for walks and carrying around her beloved squeaky toys. She is housebroken and has wonderful manners with people.

Mandy does great with other dogs and cats overall, but she does need some management around food and high-value bones. She can become vocal or growly if another animal approaches her while eating or chewing a bone, though she has never shown aggression toward humans and will willingly allow people to take items from her without issue. She happily shares toys and otherwise enjoys the company of other animals. Because of this, Mandy would do best either with an adopter who understands how to manage feeding separately or as a spoiled only dog.

Mandy can also be a little vocal when she wants attention - but honestly, after everything she's been through, we think she's earned the right to ask for a few extra cuddles.
