Polo is a 2 year old, 60 pound shepherd/retriever mix with a big heart, a bright mind, and an irresistible zest for life. If you’re looking for a dog who brings joy, energy, and affection into every room he enters, this sweet boy might be the perfect match.

• Affectionate and fun loving — he adores belly rubs, outdoor time, and being with his people
• Smart and eager to learn — already working on fetch, “come,” and “off”
• Housebroken and walks well on a leash
• Big Dog friendly and respectful of cats (he’s actually a little scared of them and gives them space) - smaller dogs he's too rough with. He likes to run and wrestle
• Gentle with kids — he was calm and sweet when meeting a 6 year old
• Knows “sit” and “lie down”
• Loyal companion — he likes to follow his foster family from room to room and be part of the action
Polo does have a few puppy like quirks: he jumps when excited, can be mouthy for attention - he needs consistent training on those. Understanding he can't grab your hand (like he's a kid pulling you to play)

• An experienced dog owner who can continue his training
• Bigger kids only because of the mouthiness and jumping
• Another big dog is a bonus but not required
• Someone home as he does not like to be alone and hates to be crated (remember he came from AL running free outside all day)
