DESCRIPTION
Meet Howie — a 4-month-old Red Heeler/Shepherd mix with a big personality packed into a small, wiggly body.
Howie is, in the most affectionate sense, a bit of a little menace — the kind that keeps you laughing and on your toes. He came up from a southern rescue and has been making up for lost time ever since. This guy is all about fun. He’s active, endlessly playful, and constantly curious about the world around him.
He’s especially talented at encouraging other dogs to join in on the action — whether they were planning to or not. If there’s another pup nearby, chances are Howie will find a way to turn it into playtime. Despite his mischievous streak, he’s a genuinely happy, good-natured pup who gets along well with other dogs, cats, and kids.
And if you really want to win him over? Bring out the hose. Howie’s absolute favorite thing in the world is chasing the spray of water — he’ll happily leap, dart, and pounce at it for as long as you’re willing to keep it going. It’s equal parts adorable and wildly entertaining to watch.
Like any young puppy, Howie is still working on the basics. His potty training and crate training are a work in progress, so he’ll need a home that’s patient and ready to continue helping him learn.
Howie would thrive in an active, fun-loving home that can match his energy, give him plenty of playtime, and then let him curl up in the coziest spot once he’s finally worn himself out. If you’re looking for a joyful, slightly chaotic, and endlessly entertaining companion, Howie might just be your perfect match.
