Little Lola's PCBP Story Begins..



When little Lola arrived at our Safe Place for Strays after being left at Pet Supermarket, we knew there was more to her story than we initially understood. As we learned more, we discovered her name is Lola, she's 3 years old, house-trained, well-mannered, and knows exactly how to be part of a family.

Life recently took an unexpected turn for Lola. What we do know is her owner was desperately reaching out hoping someone could help before 9pm a few nights ago.

Now Lola is safe.

She's settled in, she's showing us what a wonderful girl she is, and she's ready for the next chapter. We aren't going to lie.. when we led her through the yard at 10pm the night she arrived her desperation and confusion was so sad to see .

We would love to find a foster as we work on her vetting and find a forever. If you're looking for a sweet, home-ready companion, Lola may just be your girl.

The Shar Pei is a distinctive breed known for their deep wrinkles and blue black tongue. Originally from China, these medium sized dogs are loyal, independent, and protective of their families. Shar Peis have a unique appearance with a hippopotamus like face and a broad, padded muzzle. Their coat can be either horse coat or brush coat, coming in a variety of colors. While they can be aloof with strangers, Shar Peis are devoted companions with a calm demeanor, making them wonderful family pets.
